Official visit to Switzerland by NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg

Bern, 2.3.2017 - Federal Councillor Didier Burkhalter, head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, head of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS) welcomed the secretary general of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Jens Stoltenberg, at Lohn Manor in Bern on his official visit to Switzerland. Mr Stoltenberg had previously met with President of the Swiss Confederation Doris Leuthard. At Lohn Manor the three men discussed European security, developing partnerships within NATO and Switzerland’s engagement for peace and security. Mr Stoltenberg then travelled to Geneva where he visited the Maison de la paix.
