Positive employment situation sustained in 4th quarter 2023
Neuchâtel, 23.2.2024 - In the 4th quarter 2023, total employment (number of jobs) in Switzerland rose by 1.7% in comparison with the same quarter a year earlier (seasonally adjusted +0.4% over previous quarter). Calculated in full-time equivalents, this was an increase in jobs of 1.7%. Companies reported 10 900 (–9%) fewer job vacancies than a year earlier. Despite a cautious assessment, the employment outlook indicator remains positive. These are some of the latest findings from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
